The artist draws from art brut, graffiti, and consumerism, rectifying promises made by big brands on posters injected by abstract forms of distressed marks and forms.

His practice is an informed live journal/social media stream creating a filtered cloak of asemblance and distortion. Layered images punctured with abstraction bleed internal cracks, calling out societies social ills.

Ratio’s paintings mirror those broken walls anonymously screaming out for attention with each layer holding a history — scared by time and destruction. Creating a new  surface language full of power and physical assertion which vibrates with intuition,  flow and instinct. Paintings echo’s memory and decay, leaving space for your  imagination to fill the void. 

The artist doesn’t paint to chase beauty. But to reveal what lies beneath it — the truth,  the grit, the pulse of something real. Building a chaotic narrative with a sense of emergency with atmospheric strokes from the city connecting with abstraction,  creating a visual experience which taps right into the now.
