INTERFACE

Group exhibition

June 1 – 7

INTERFACE showcases artists whose work is shaped through re-generation, and disruption. Working across various mediums, they will transform S438S into a physical social feed. The artworks on display create a network, a dialogue of artistic exploration, inviting the viewer to be present and to interact with their surroundings. The public spaces outside of S438S also become part of INTERFACE emphasising the importance of how a momentary action can have a lasting impact.

The artworks selected for this exhibition vary from abstract to performance, from digital to sound pieces, all interwoven in the brutalist space.

ARTISTS

Shem, Loren Prystaj, Benny Watson, Collagism, Raf Pojan, CH20, Ben Wakely, Alfred Chabilan, AB Tavera, Anna Lanni, Mervyn Penrose, Rilla.127, Botren

The exhibition welcomes sound and visual collectives for ‘The sessions’ transforming the space into a creative hub where ideas are exchanged and disrupt the traditional norms of a ‘gallery’ per se. Questioning how order can re-emerge through disruption.

The sessions include experimental sounds, performances, films and DJ sets. Reconstructing the idea of space outside a familiar timeline in the evenings and daytime. (The sessions schedule will be released soon)

Other activities during the week include, a unique tattoo technology by CX. Providing painless micro dot permanent tatttoos with unique art-led iconography.

INTERFACE coincides with SXSW, London Gallery Weekend and Hackney art week.
